One woning

General

The ONE Home is a housing concept that answers two urgent social issues; the need for good quality, temporary and affordable rental housing, and the uplift of neglected, vacant areas in the public space. The One Home is a light mobile temporary home suited to fill abandoned places in towns and cities. The house with a wooden structure has an usable living area of 39m2. Building the ONE Home is easy: it fits on two low loader trucks and can be installed in just one day. Floors, walls and roofs are made of Cross Laminated Timber panels. To ensure plenty of daylight, the entire front facade consists of glass. Because of the light weight of the ONE, a prefabricated and reusable concrete slab is sufficient as foundation.
