Na de eerste fase van Blixembosch 2 met de architecten uit de ‘Eindhovense school’ en de tweede fase met het niet zo geslaagde sprookjesthema, volgde al snel daarna de derde fase met het landenthema. Eerst de Engelse buurt, daarna de Italiaanse en Franse buurt en als klap op de vuurpijl honderden vrije sector kavels die de Amerikaanse buurt moesten vormen.
