Dit complex behoort tot het beschermde stadsgezicht Philipsdorp. K. de Bazel (bekend van het stadsarchief en Spaarndammerbuurt in Amsterdam) heeft hier een eentonig straatbeeld vermeden door verspringende rooilijnen en kapvormen en de toepassing van groen. De renovatie is bijzonder goed gelukt. Zonder afbreuk te doen aan het karakter van de buurt en met aandacht voor cruciale details als de raamindeling en kleurstelling, zijn de woningen weer helemaal geschikt gemaakt voor deze tijd.
