General
Pioneering Spirit of Allseas is a vessel designed for dismantling old offshore oil and gas platforms and laying pipelines at great depths and is also designed to install platforms. Part of the ship is the approximately 210-metre long stinger, consisting of the Stinger Transition Frame and three separate parts, each with a length of roughly 50 metres. Even under severe weather conditions, Pioneering Spirit can continue doing its work. Iv-Consult contributed to the design of the stinger.
