Super Heavy Lift Cranes Mammoet

General
Requirements laid down for Super Heavy Lift cranes result not only in bigger cranes but also in more complex crane designs. One of the design specifications for the new generation of cranes is that it must be possible to disassemble them in sections that fit into standard containers. A complete crane requires roughly 200 containers and is therefore easy to transport, even in regions where there is little infrastructure. Iv-Consult cooperated with Mammoet on the structural design of two gigantic Platform Twin-Ring Containerised (PTC) hoisting cranes with a height of up to 250 metres. The distinctive feature of Super Heavy Lift cranes is their hoisting capacity of no less than 3,200 tonnes.
