General
Fort de Roovere is onderdeel van de West-Brabantse Waterlinie en heeft een uitkijktoren als nieuwe landmark gekregen. De vervaarlijk voorover hellende toren heeft een hoogte van 25 m en is opgebouwd uit staal en hout. De trappen vormen te- vens een tribune voor openlucht theater. Voor de hoofddraagconstructie is verzinkt staal toegepast, voor de gevelinvulling, trappen en de bordessen van waar men kan uit- kijken zijn uitgevoerd in Accoya.
Adviesbureau Lüning heeft in de rol van hoofdconstructeur het constructief ontwerp van de toren verzorgd. Zowel de hoofdberekeningen van de staalconstructie als de detail- berekeningen van het hout zijn door het bureau uitgevoerd.
