The entire public area between the central station and the historic city center has been redesigned. A beautiful fountain by the world-famous sculptor Jeaume Plensa was given a prominent place in the restored park. Space for thousands of bicycles has been created in the basement. The bus station is fully integrated into the design of the station square.
The whole has the space, overview and allure that the traveler to and from Leeuwarden can expect.
